From Sunday August 27 to Saturday September 2 bargain hunters and... well...money smart, environmentally conscious, stylish women (and men, probably!) from around Australia will do what we do best...SHOP!!

Now, even though Meg and Gabs are currently walking through South East Asia, some how they still found the time to tell me their op shopping tips and three favourite op shops. So, FIRSTLY their top tip is to go to the countryside, apparently its sooooo much cheaper and I quote "there are usually nice things that the hipsters haven't stolen yet!" Classic!
Their top three op shops are:
1. Sacred Heart Balaclava, Megan's choice.
2. Hunter Gatherer (Brotherhood of St. Lawrence) in Fitzroy, Gab's choice.

The very sweet and EXTREMELY smart Katie from Sustainability In Style explained how she really believes that it is important to spend at small scale charities that use their op-shop fronts as their major money making ventures. Especially if they directly support your local community by feeding profits back into the community.
Katie's top three op shops are:
Sanctuary Op Shop Walan & Smith St Mooloolaba where 100% of sales support victims of domestic violence.
Fusion (Wombats Wardrobe) Op Shop Aerodrome Rd Maroochydore that aims to support locals by keeping prices low, create a sense of community connection, train and mentor young people, and fund fusions other work with community and youth training and mentoring.
The Kidney Support Network Op Shop Aerodrome Road Maroochydore. Staffed by volunteers with all proceeds going back to support kidney patients, families, and careers.
